Maeve Dewar

We have the great honor of sharing the legacy of Maeve Dewar’s extraordinary work:  Celebration of passion !

Born from Irish parents, her name, Maeve, meant 'intoxicating joy'.

She sadly passed away recently.

Maeve, a soft spoken lady, was an artist with outstanding passion and talent, unique inner qualities and perceptions that are visible in every piece that came to life through her creative mind and warm heart.

She lived and breathed art, it never was a job, pure passion.  Dedicated, motivated, inspired, always ready to prepare the next piece, lingering in mind, way before mixing colours for the next canvas.  One can lose yourself in the richness of color, texture, movement and vibrations in her artwork.

Maeve graduated at the School of Art in London.

Her artwork were exhibited for many years in New York, USA, UK, Australia, Holland, Portugal, Italy, Germany, Cape Town (Mount Nelson Hotel for example) and for the past 17 years, Hermanus, South Africa.

Herewith, a glimpse into and a tribute to the beautiful heart and soul of the phenomenal South African artist, Maeve Dewar.
